Title: Non-Academic Careers for Behavioral Scientists
Type: Science Forum
Related Docs: Abstracts | Agenda | Speaker Bios | Power Points

Co-sponsored by the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS)

The Federation, with support from the American Psychological  Association of Graduate Students (APAGS), held a day-long Science Forum to  explore issues surrounding the pursuit of non-academic careers by  research-trained behavioral scientists.  The concerns of both new PhDs and  those interested in making a mid-career career change were addressed by  experts and those with personal experience.

Although the Forum was a day-long event full of  discussion, many  important issues and concerns, particularly those relevant to students, new  PhDs, and postdocs, were only touched upon and deserve further attention.   The Federation plans to continue to address the issues faced by students who are  not sure of their post-PhD career paths.  Information regarding our future  plans will be posted on this webpage and on our homepage.
